Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris was born October 20 1964. She is an American politician. She is the first woman to be elected vice president and also holds the title of most powerful female officer in American history. She is a senator and former US senator who represents California. Harris was born in Oakland and attended Howard University, University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris started her career at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. She was then recruited to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003, she was elected San Francisco District Attorney. Harris was elected Attorney General of California in 2010. In 2014, she won re-election. Harris was the junior United States Senator from California between 2017 and 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Martinez in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the second African American woman and first South Asian American senator to be elected to the United States Senate. As a senator, Harris advocated for federal de-scheduling of healthcare, and the legalization of cannabis as a pathway to citizenship of undocumented immigrants, and the DREAM Act which bans assault weapons. The attention of the nation was drawn by her outspoken examination of Trump administration officials at Senate sessions. This included Trump's second Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh who was accused of sexual misconduct.
