Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC was born March 4 1954. O'Hara has won numerous prizes, including the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. She was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress while she was a part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd as co-stars, she was in the main ensemble of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara and Candy began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara won an Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for her outstanding writing for a Variety Series. O'Hara was a member of the brand-new Second City artistic Advisory Board that was headed by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
